ahhahahah the asus and saphire 9600XT's are back in stock in newegg.com

so what should i get?? (the asus is $199.00 and the saphire is $172.00)

why does the powercolor cost more than the saphire?

It's probably more expensive because the Powercolor on Newegg is a retail card, and the Sapphire is an OEM White Box card. Basically the same thing, but the Powercolor will come with an HL2 voucher and other various software.

As for your setup, it looks alright. I would recommend ditching the standard Raidmax PSU in that case and go for something like the Fortron 350W, or the Fortron 530W if you can afford it.

the power color at newegg doesnt come with hl2, it comes with tomb raider angel of darkness lol

well the ati and asus come with hl2, the ati is $189.00 and the asus is $199.00

which one should i get???

You really cant go wrong with either one of them. The Asus looks to have a somewhat beffier cooling system, so you might want to consider the Asus. Besides that, they are basically the same card.

As far as the Powercolor is concerned, it should come with the HL2 voucher, since all XT cards are supposed to come with the voucher

well, if u go to newegg.com and find the power color 9600XT, and go to the pics of it, on the box it says "free tomb raider"

gosh i dunno what to get asus or ati

As I said in the above post, the Asus and ATi are basically the same card, just with a different cooling system. If you want to save $10, go with the ATI.

the saphire comes with hl2, and its $172.00

the power color also has HL2, but it comes with 8 other games (tomb raider AOD, splinter cell lite, big mutha truckers and more) and its $175.00

The Sapphire shown on Newegg doesnt come with the HL2 voucher. Only retail cards come with the voucher, and the Sapphire is an OEM/White Box card. Hence, no HL2.

o, but the link says it does o well at least it makes my choice a bit easier

Go with Intel

Go with a 5900nu unless you can get the XT for way cheaper or a 9700

well, inetl would be alot more expensive (plus id have to find new parts and its taken me 2+ months to find these that i have now)

im getting the ati 9600XT cuz it looks nier (red is better than brown) plus the box looks cooler, and its 10 bucks cheaper lol

Your rig looks pretty good. You might be happier upgrading the RAM to Corsair PC3500 CL2 though - it's BH5 and would perform and overclock much better.

You might also be better off with a 92mm fan if your heatsink supports one...I can't quite recall.
