I have two mobos, one with a damaged BIOS that boots into Award BootBlock BIOS but won't flash (chip is damaged) and one mobo with a bad flash. Is it possible for me to download the latest BIOS's for these boards, remove the chips and flash them through an external programmer ie ROM programmer attatched to my PC???? Cos doesn't a place like BadFlash just but empty chips and use a PROM programmer to flash the .rom or .bin file onto the chip??

You need an EPROM reader/writer to do that. It should be possible, but I dont know how much the EPROM device would cost.

If you contact wildone he flashes bad BIOS ROMS if you kill yours for a nominal charge. Hes a good guy and we all appreciate him offering this service.

I only mention this as he offers the service in the classifieds(you can view that section once you have 100 posts) and thats not visible to you, but I thought maybe he could solve your dilema.

Currently he can only flashes rectangular 2 mb chips, but he may offer other types soon.
