I haven't read the article, but I see it's 2x80mm and 1x120mm fan. When I first saw that pic I thought it was 2x120mm and 1x172mm. I checked with my own fans, and found out that the 120mm one covered 5 PCI slots, just like in the picture, and my 172mm fan covered 6 PCI slots, 1 AGP slot and 1 nonexisting slot
However, Those bigass ducts might do a good job, gotta go read that article

I think that that may be a very problomatic shroud, as its designed to be placed in the PCI/AGP area (As shown)

If you use the large unit, it leaves very little room for PCI cards depending on where it is placed.
