$999.00 for an 1800+, I sure hope it isn't a pally version (crosses fingers).

That is one for the books I guess. I saw another one like that, that I may be able to dig up. It was for a Intel XP 2600+

Edit: They fixed the link, but here is what it said (off of pricegrabber):

Intel Athlon XP 2600+ Processor

2.60GHz, 128KB, 400MHz, Socket 478

Intel - BX80532RC2600B

from $88.00

Someone i.e.(not ME) should see if they are really stupid enough to charge $999 dollars for one.

We need to find a rich ignorant Guinea pig!

P.S. if you are a Guinea pig disregard this post =)

I think they might have run out of stock or forgot to input numbers for the price, so it defaults to $999?

The most expensive I have seen of people actually selling was in a store in my city. This was in late september/early october of 2003. They had a morgan duron 1.2Ghz $89. An xp 1700+ was twice that (palomino). I also saw them charge a guy $75 to stick 64 more megabytes of edo ram in his early pII box, asking if it will make the internet go faster. :)
