Can anyone recommend a good motherboard for a intel 2.6C GHz, 800MHz FSB processor (BX80532PG2600D).

Definitely 865 or 875 chipset (Intel). From there, it depends on your budget, what features you need / want, what you want to use it for etc. Intel boards are reliable, but without much OC'ing or tweaking potential. ASUS and Abit are good.
 
EPoX is always my choice. I would go with the 4PCA3+ (875) or the 4PDA2+ 9865). I just picked up one of each. Here is a screenie of the 4pca3+ at 246 1;1 7-3-3-2.5 w/ TwinMos pc3700.
