So I've heard of places that offer to take ancient computer parts or computers off your hands and recycle them but I couldn't find any info online or through the forum search. Anyone know of something like this? We're remodeling and have-literally-4 computers that are older than 10 years just taking up space in a closet and I don't want to throw any of it away if it can go to a good cause.

Any URL's or references would be great. Thanks, guys.

I know Dell has a recycling program, I don't know if it's for Dell's solely or not though. You should try contacting some major comanies through email or something and ask, good luck!

I tried to find somewhere. Everywhere wanted collection fees though. This is the UK btw. Pete

That's because you shouldn't just throw them away. They have nasty chemicals in them (lead, etc). I'm fairly certain that here in the US CRT monitors are classified as hazardous waste (they can be dangerous to transport).
