Hey, I'm trying to remove my god forsaken heatsink off my voodoo 3 2000 agp. The damn thing won't come off, i've let it heat up then taken it out and twisted the thing, and tried to pry it up slowly with a piece of plastic with no luck. Anyone got any other ideas? Let me know thanks.
P.S. Here's a link to a site showing the heatsink just for you to see it: http://www.insidemacgames.com/features/99/Voodoo3/v3.shtml

Try putting the card in the freezer for 15-20 minutes if you haven't already. Then place a piece of paper between the chip and HS and stick a screwdriver betwen the paper and chip. Twist the screwdriver and it should pop right off. Be somewhat gentle as you don't want to damage the chip and because the dang heatsinks tend to go flying. I can't say I'm totally sure if this will work for you but it worked great for my Radeon.

Good Luck,
