Replacing PC Chips 810series mobo

System consist of above mobo with onboard sound lan and video, AMD 850mhz Athlon, Western Digital WD-300-BB 30gig ATA/100 hard drive, Deer 250watt power source that is not approved for the 850mhz Athlon and 256 megs of PC133 memory... System is very unstable and crash's...any suggestions???

Get a better and more powerful PS like an Enermax 431. One place you can get them is http://www.directron.com/eg451pve.html

Hope this helps (a weak PS can lead to instability as you thought).

I'd also check out you cooling..... is this a Slot A Athlon or a Socket A Athlon (Thunderbird)? Setting your memory more conservatively (i.e. CAS 3 instead of CAS2, interleaving disabled) can help with stability.
