I ran some tests today to see how well my new watercooling setup was working. I'll be submitting an article next week, but here is a preview of my results.
Duron 650 (Blue Die) @ 952Mhz (136x7) 1.85V
Room Temp = 25.4 C
Ambient Temp = 29.5 C
Idle Temp = 30 C
Prime95 Torture Test Priority 10 Temp = 40 C
Prime95 was run for over an hour until the temp stabilized.
I could post at 1000Mhz (133x7), and could run Sisoft Sandra 2001se and Windows just fine at 966Mhz (138x7) 1.85V, but Prime95 reported errors at this speed. I feel that I'm limited by voltage, and have read a post on how to put a resistor on the motherboard that will allow me to bump it higher, but I'm not that gutsy at this point. I kept the article, just in case I want to do this down the road. It seems simple enough, but long term problems such as burning out other components on the motherboard are what concern me.
Look for my write up (hopefully it gets published).
Guess It's time to change my sig!
