Room Temp and Case Temp TOO HIGH!! HELP!!

Left my machine running yesterday, after installing the 1.2 AXIA Y, and went out, came back and checked the temp. The system temp was @ 32 degrees and the CPU was @ 47!! That was just at idle!! if I even tried to do anything heavy it died after a few minuites. I need a way of lowering the system temp, or case temp.

I kknow the room gets too hot but I'm having to use a desktop fan to keep it cool in the evenings.

The difference between your case temp and CPU temp seems to much for idle. Are you sure that your HSF is mounted correctly and making good contact? Maybe try lapping it. The best way to get these temps down is to get your room temp down. The case temp is dirrectly proportional to the room temp. Try to get your room temp down to around 27C.

Is the HSF properly installed?
Did you use Arctic Silver2?
Did you lap the heatsink?
Do you have good ventilation with your case?
Can you add more properly configured fans?
Have you cut out the factory grill holes for the fan ventilation on your case?(Dremel...Dremel...Dremel)
Feel like modding a 120mm fan to the side of your case?
With room temp at 30.7C my case temp is at 31.5C resulting in Mb temp at 35C and CPU at 46C(surfing), so we're pretty close.
Room 23.9C Case 24.4C Mb 28C CPU 37C

How exactly do you lap the Heatsink properly?

I have 2 80mm YS TECH fans in the case where allowed and 1 60mm and a system exhaust blower.

Nope can't add any more fans without cutting holes in the side

Uh, not quite sure how to do this and getting a 120mm fan is quite expensive as I have to order it, and that's about £7 shipping $10 -$11 I think

For lapping check the tips section but basicly it involves getting a piece of glass to put your sandpaper on so that you end up sanding the bottom of your HS flat I started out with 400 and went to 600 grit, theres allot of debate and allot of different answers on how far to lapp some say 600 is fine others try to lapp to 1500 grit, the important thing here is to get your HS flat the rest is not as important but its nice to get atleast a 600 finish.

I think you really need to cool your room down if a small window airconditioning unit uses to much electricity then get a small swamp cooler there cheap and work great without upping your electicity bill to much, PC's have never liked the heat not only that who likes to sit in a hot room while there playing with there PC?
