Please run this benchmark! Update: now with summary for 24 systems.

EDIT:

Please download the new version from my message on page 2 of this thread.

New version with GoGo 2.39 / 3.10 and LAME 3.91 as MP3 encoders, RKau and OptimFROG as lossless encoders.

I've decided to use a bigger source file to make your machines work a bit longer. It's a 3.3 MBytes long mp3, so it's too big for the message board, but the bench will fetch it automatically on the first run.

EDIT2:

See end of thread for a summary of 24 systems with results from various posters. Haven't dug into the numbers so far, just sorted them by OptimFROG time.

Holy cow! That's fast (and nice rig, BTW)!

But the results should be different from the LAME scores since the alpha version of GoGo doing the encoding here has different optimizations.

You were looking for AMD results? Here's a 1.2GHz T-bird 200FSB. I'm sure one with a 266FSB would do better, and I'm sure an XP would beat even that. Nice results with that celeron!

Rio71..a bit off topic but I think you need to shorten your sig a bit. Just put the basics we dont need to know what kind of burner you have or who your ISP is

Check out mine for an example. My sig is even a bit long.

And now on topic I'll run the bench tonight when I get home on the cele. And here is my work machine T-bird 1000/133 at stock speed with PC133
