running 133mhz sdram at 66mhz

can i run pc133 ram at 66mhz
im upgrading the ram on a system and dont want to have to buy old second hand ram

I had no problems running PC133 at 66mhz on my old 200MMX system. I was told when I got it that in most cases it's not a problem, but there's a few boards that do have issues doing it. As for which boards those are I don't know

it will be running on a K6-2 system
if thats any help

My setup was a K6-2 300 on an ASUS board of some sort with 256mb PC133 ram. As I say, it's quite likely it will work. The guy I got my ram from said "It should work, if it doesn't bring it back to me"

I've done that several times before in a couple different systems without any problems.
