Ryzen 1700 temperature reading less than ambient on Crosshair VI

It would be cool if this were possible but it's not. My geothermal loop is @ 22c yet my CPU temp in BIOS is 16c and HWinfo is 13c. Package temperature is 8c. I cranked the CPU up to 4 Ghz (40x100) with a voltage of 1.395 to see what would happen to the temperature. It's reaching about 55c with P95 small fft running on all 16 cores. Not sure if the temperature is accurate off idle or not.
Asus said to send the board in for repair but I may just send it back to the Egg for replacement. Anyone else run into this type of temperature reading issue?

Glad I haven't sold my Signature system yet. I almost put it on Ebay last week.
