Sata question

First time ive hooked up Sata drive. Got thru formatting and all that, working now but question is:
I have a second drive, not sata but am using adapter that came with mobo. I can read drive when hooked on IDE slot but not when on 2nd sata slot. It doesnt recognize drive. I just want to get certain info off this drive then reformat it. Wondering if it still wont work on sata after format with adapter. Its ntfs on win2k pro, Abit nf7-s mobo, first sata drive is WD raptor.

Okay, I had this problem too. Make sure the drive jumper is set to Master and it should take care of your problem.

That did it. That was just waaaay too simple, I like complicated myself. Hheheheh
