SBLIVE! in XP mic not working right

hey guys i play Half Life Counter Strike
and in the game my mic dont work worth a crap

it sounds all garbbled up

i was wondering if anyone else had problems with the mic with a SBLive! and windows XP
i do have the latest driver

I sympathise with your problem, cos so many people have problems with the SB Live! and Live! Value with XP, you only have to look around the web to see the amount of problems. I too had a problem, no sound at all, but a driver upgrade fixed mine (the latest driver).
I recently bought a SB Audigy Player as an upgrade and it works fine, straight out of the box, even though it was'nt XP compatible.
Thats the only thing i can suggest i'm afraid, everyones XP acts differently! The Audigy is well worth the upgrade, its so cheap and packed with features.
