I refuse to pay monthly for most things. Never got into WOW for that reason alone. I have a Pixel phone and have long since had too much data for the free backup that Google offers. I'm not paying a storage fee no matter how reasonable that cost may be.

I've started looking at software to install on my phone/tablet and my Unraid server. I'd like to have my phone upload data to my server when connected to WiFi. I've started to look around and came across NextCloud AIO. I don't know anything about it. Does it work? Is it easy to setup/use? is it free or a 1-time cost? Is it the best option for this purpose?

What do you guys do to backup all of your photos on your phone?

I do multiple things. I still have a pixel (og) XL that I leave plugged in and use syncthing (fork) to sync photos to it as it allows for unlimited full res backup to Google photos (I have it disabled on my phone to upload to photos).

Then I use PhotoSync (one time cost) to sync to a smb share on my network (my unraid server) when it is plugged in/charging overnight.

I was just looking at Syncthing. I'll look at Photosync too.
