sending but not receiving packets

Hey! though i would post this while searched for a solution as well. just stuck a wireless card (dlink 520) in a box (w2k). it sees the network, sends packets, but does not receive packets. i tried dhcp as well as assigning ip's. the network consists of assigned ip's, and the other computers work fine. server is freebsd, and the new box is listed in the hosts file. any ideas? thanks,

do you have a firewall on the w2k box?

no firewall. two weeks in and i still can't get it to work. it has to be the wireless card.
