Hi guys, I have an Asus A7A266, with 1.2 ghz Athlon. I tried updating the bios to the 1004 version. Upon startup, it said I had 10 more degrees celcius then I had on a previous boot. I went back to 1002B version of the bios. Now, my dip switches seem to not be working, and I can't even boot up higher than 1 ghz, when I could previously get up to 1.4 ghz w/o any trouble. WTF is going wrong??? I thought it might have been me switching the dip switches too often, but I doubt that :p

Update:

I tinkered around some more and got it up to 1.32 ghz...Good enough for me :)

P.S. Sorry about this meaningless post :p

I find that unecessary BIOS updates just cause problems
