I just signed up and I'm crunching :D but in the user stats of the seti spy client everything including my username is listed as unknown. Is this normal before you complete the first cycle? I'm only at about 13%. Thanks for the help.

I'm not really sure about that one. Have you tried restarting Spy since you got the first WU? Just right click and exit and then when you restart spy it will start driver again too.

As long you follow the directions from this link it should be setup right http://www.ocsetiteam.com/Instr1.htm

Well I'm not finished with the 1st WU yet. About how long should it take? I'm around 17%. What is your cache size set to?

It wont hurt anything if you restart SETI. I set my cache size anywhere between 10-25 so I can still crunch for a few days if the SETI servers go down. If your crunching on the Athlon in your sig you should hit 6-6.5 hours per WU on average. Low AR WU's will generally take longer and .417 is considered average

You can check the AR of the work unit currently being processed here in SETISpy

I believe your information will update after you transmit your first w/u in AND they are processed by SETI@HOME. Then, on your second transmit, it should show up on your SETI SPY, IF it has been processed by that time.
It took 2 or 3 transmit's before it updated mine. Wait and see what happens. :)

Thanks for the help. After I transmitted the 1st wu my info came up.

no problem...most people seem to run screensaver initially including myself so I haven't heard of this one before. Welcome to the team...its an addiction
