Trying out that L2 setting in Regedit right now. Not sure if it will work, but we will see

That reg tweak applies to cpu's that have their L2 cache off die on separate chips....

Yup, didn't make much of a difference running their L2 Benchmark..

All I can say for seti optimisation:

Full FSB + Agressive CAS2 timings and Ultra Turbo Ram settings
Turn off uncessary things in a bios (Refer to a bios guide and disbable and enable whichever is necessary)
Use CLI Version of Seti(Pretty sure you all know that)

That's like the only secrets there are to this..

Is Shadowing BIOS good or bad? I always thought it enhanced performance since ROM was so much slower than RAM, yet the link above says to disable the shadowing to free up L2 cache.

It used to make some difference in older machines, but generally with faster machines it makes little or no difference.

It doesn't apply directly to Win2k/XP, but it would probably be safe to assume that the NT kernel doesn't need it and it would be better to free up the RAM.
