Post magically merged:

After the bios update finished, the system kept restarting several times and now it's ON but nothing on the screen.

I would go do something else for 10 minutes. If it's still the same try holding down the power button for 10 seconds to force a restart and see what happens.

I want to add another SSD, should I get a SATA SSD or m.2 ? because I heard that if I connected a m.2 ssd in the first slot then I will lose the 16 lanes for the gpu.

So I have to connect the m.2 in the other m.2 slots so I can keep the full speed for the gpu. So in this case will the m.2 be better than a sata one ?

m.2 have way better speeds and they're out of the way. most motherboards have an m.2 slot that will work for you. they are more annoying to put in but superior in every other way.

I checked your manual and this is all I found assuming it's rev 1.0 which I'm not sure. It says if you use the m2m sb slot you lose a couple sata ports. Just use a different one and it won't matter.

If you do or don't (you don't!) that wouldn't matter. Difference is literally negligible. M.2 all the way.

I'm a bit disappointed of the sound solution of this motherboard.

My previous z97 g1 sniper has an amazing creative sound blaster software which has scout mode.

But this one doesn't !

Scout mode... wow... it's been...........generations since I've heard that. Wow! That was gimmicky back in the day!

This audio codec is, on paper, better than what was on the Z97...

Hi,

It's been like 10 days, everything is working well, never had any problems. I'm really happy with the upgrade.

Some applications can push the temps between 80 - 90s and that's all. And I'm not thinking of any overclocking, +5GHz is very enough for me.
