Shortening the ATX connector from Enermax PSU, will it improve my 5v Line?

Hi there

I have the EPOX 8K7A+, and most of you will be aware that it has problems with holding the 5v line stable.
At the moment I am at 4.75v idle with my PSU.

I am using the Enermax 431w (Old version) PSU, and get a poor 5v line.

If I say was to remove approx 1 foot from the ATX connector cable (the one from the PSU to the mainboard ;) ) would this help improve my 5v line?

If anyone has tried this, what actual improvement did you get?

Also what do you think of the SPI (Sparkle) 400w PSU's, or which PSU would you recommend to give the best 5v line result?

Thanks in advance

So the problem with the EPOX 8K7A+ is only related with the Enermax or it happens with any PS ??

I'm planning to buy that mobo and I have the Enermax 430.

Now I'm scared

From what I have been reading it can occur with any power supply it just seems to happen more with enermax or possibly more people use the enermax so it just seems that way.
Some people get fine readings with the enermax or other power supplys some bad with even the 650 model.
Some have suggested poor quality control by epox.
Some say they are running overclocked 100% stable even thou the 5v is low.
