RIght now im looking at ebay after seeing my tax return. My 3070 my be more then enough for the games i play now. Down the road when i higher resolution monitors it would be nice to have more Gpu ram/power full card. I have two ways to play this, go with the 4070 super as it uses the same power as the 3070. It has in the benchmarks on GN's videos about double the fps. If i look at pricing from time to time a 4070 super is closer to $600. In fact i was really tempted to get one listed for $625, i get home from work and SOLD! LOL I can wait for possibly another to show up around that price or get one around the $700 to $730 range OR! For that price get a 4070 Ti, power usage goes up. Now my other rational side kicks in, if i get that card using that higher power. Why do i just put in a offer on a 4070 Ti super card? i mean i would get a huge increase vs the 4070super PLUS it has 16gb of ram. I could really hope for someone to take a offer of $800 but i really doubt they would. All this really makes me conflicted, LOL! As the goal is to get a card that i will use as long as the 1060 6gb card i bought when new. Granted up front i might say pay $800 if they take the offer on the 4070 Ti super. Maybe i get lucky and the Evga 3070, i bought on ebay i can sell for around $300. the Evga's seem to sell for the slightly higher cost, I really would not lose much in selling the evga card from what i paid for it. Making it in the end paying $500 for a 4070 Ti Super. God i ate this right now, feel like if i get the 4070 super i will regret it later. Where as even spending more, i don't want to do, the 4070 Ti super, i would be better with. Part of me just thinks the 12gb on the 4070 super down the road wont be enough. The reasoning for my dilemma is well the NV dropping the 32bit physx support from the 5xxx line. After playing borderlands with it, i do not thing i can play it without ever again. Yes just about every 3 months i install it again and start a new character, LOVE BL2! Then there is Alice, i play from start about once a year to the end. God i do not know what to do right now..

I don't know how prices will change, but if you feel that the RTX 4070 Super is perfect right now, think about the RTX 5070. It performs somewhere between 4070S and 4070Ti. The 4070Ti Super seems like a good option, too. 5070Ti would be a better option if prices were more reasonable. I can find them not so overpriced in Poland, but I can't find them in any popular US store at the same price (and we have +23% VAT). I have no idea why prices in the US are so weird right now, and additionally, there is a problem with availability, while in the EU, it's not.

PhysX has been dead for years, so it doesn't matter. Getting a 5000 series card gives hope for longer support and more driver improvements. On the other hand, the 4000 series is not much worse, as prices have decreased, and they are available.

I will only tell you that I have 4080, 5070, 5070Ti, and RX9070XT, but my gaming PC has the 4070 Super. It's just right for my needs, and everything runs great at 1440p. I don't need 200+ FPS. I want to give the 4080 to my brother, who plays more, but I have no time to rebuild his PC. It's easier to build a new one than change everything in his.

yea so true but i go back and play some phsx based games, that is why i landed on the 4k cards.. Some do not even run with out it and doing it on the cpu is horrible. I forget how i found the video of games that need it or can use it. How bad the fps is.. I really do not see the 5xxx as a option at all when some of them really do not have any or much performance increase over the 5k. i know prices are still sky high but just in the past few weeks the 4070 Ti and 4070 super have dropped around $50 or more then were they use to be. So yea, power wise to my 3070 = 4070 Super. if i want to get 16gb the Ti super.

I am looking at buying ebay so the prices there used have dropped a bit. 4070 super was around $700 to $735 vs now with new BIN postings $635-700. a bigger swing but it looks like alot of people just want to sell their card cause they either got a AMD 9k or nv 5k card.

4070 is a pretty good bump over 3070, you will love it. I went from 3070Ti to 4070Ti, mostly because the Amazon deal was too good to pass up, but also so my son could move from a 980 to the 3070Ti.

ok so i got a Galax 4070 super, $667 with free shipping, then tax at around $720. Since i took the week off, time to put my 11th gen together, finally!
