My system - P3 700@1000, 1.8v, Asus CUSL2, Win98se, 256mb pc143 ram.
When I run 143/107/35 (1000mhz) I have no problems. When I run 143/143/35, my computer won't shutdown. Everything else seems to be working fine. I get much better Memory scores with Sandra when running the ram at 143, that I hate to change it to 107. I have the same problem at 966, 987 etc. Anyone have any ideas how to cure this? I would like to shut the machine off once in a while.

I have a Reboot Problem with my Bxmaster mobo, it only happens over 1008 mhz, If I run my P3 800 at 133fsb or higher, it won't reboot, but if I run at 1008,( 126fsb), the reboot is fine.... I figure it's got to do with the frequency of the cpu/mobo not jivving..

Could be a corrupted shutdown wav file.

Chances are it's the Sucker's Ed "shutdown problem".

M$ has multiple patches that should sort the problem.

I was having some weird shutdown problems also.
Sometimes wouldnt shutdown right, skipping the shutdown
wav, (which was not corrupt). Locking up on shutdown other
times.

After setting the PCI#2 Access #1 Retry in my BIOS to
disabled, the problem vanished. No performance loss
detected.

You might look in your BIOS to see if your has this setting.

If I had memory running at 143Mhz sweet as a nut - I would leave my Box on constantly running seti units. Shutting down would not be an issue.

I'd just have this as a little nag and not worry about it. You wanna see the state of my desk at the moement 'cause I'm running a PC in no case - it's just laid out on the table - running 933Mhz!!!!
