Hey guys, I'm normally hanging out in the AMD rooms but I had a horror story and my friend who is a pentium freak is basically I told you soing me to death. He seems like he is in love with the shuttle boards, becuase he has built 100's of systems with these boards. I dont remeber the exact model of the shuttle, but in general what kind of marks are these shuttle boards geting? www.shuttlela.com is there site.

They're not high-end boards, and they're not overclockers boards. But they are pretty cheap, so not a bad choice for building run-of-the-mill systems. I've used a couple of the older Socket 7 Shuttle boards and they were OK. None of their PIII/Celeron or Slot A/Socket A boards have tweaked my interest though. The correct website for Shuttle is:

I've probably assembled 250 systems with Shuttle, and like DaveB said, they're not tweakable, but rock solid. If you're buying just a normal home system, w/o any "bells and whistles" it's a good inexpensive board.

My hatred for cheap and nasty motherboards is legendary. As is my hatred of Gigabyte.

Support is not something that you get when you buy a Jetway, Shuttle, Elite, PcChips......................

Although having said that I've heard that ASUS are a bit ropey on the customer service front for the most expensive manufacturer........
