I have the GeForce MX 400 card (Xtasy), I thought sidebanding was enabled in these cards? I noticed in powerstrip, this option is greyed out. Anyway to fix this?

If you're using any of the newer Nvidia reference drivers, SBA will be disabled by the drivers themselves...even though your card supports it. The only way past this when using the newer driver sets...is by adding and enabling the "EnableAGPSBA" (without the quotes) "Binary Value Name" to the registry.

In my case, using XP Home...the "EnableAGPSBA" Binary is located under the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE | SYSTEM | ControlSet001 | Control | Video | {5DD04DA5-E4D2-41BF-BC4E-C60127DBF92F} | 0000

...with a value of "1" to enable SBA. The "Value Data" should look like this when enabled...

01 00 00 00

...and this when disabled:

00 00 00 00

...Be sure to reboot after making the change.;)

Unfortunately, I'm still using 98se. Anyone know where to find the registry key? I did some searching with regedit, but had no luck

Thaks though redduc900, now at least I have a good idea of where to start:)
