SideBySide error

Anyone ever get a (SideBySide) error on winxp pro?

What do you mean "SideBySide?" Does a window come up that says "SideBySide Error?"

I searched SideBySide on Google and an adware entry at Symantec was the first hit (http://www.symantec.com/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2005-070514-5200-99). If it has something to do with that then you should run Spybot, AdAware, and Kaspersky's online scanner to clean the system.

i had a strange reboot the otherday , so i looked in event viewer and noticed the sidebyside error message with a red x next to it. i am running spybot now to see if that gets rid of it. i'm really not sure what it is.

noticed it is there quite a few times on different days. its really odd.

Open the Event Properties for the error related to the SideBySide source, and copy / paste the information under the Description field into this thread.

Do you have either Visual Studio or JAVA installed, and if so... what versions?

i think have java installed on here. i gotta check for sure though.

Ok i just updated java to vers 5.0 . maybe that will help that error ..

One other thing... try installing the latest MSXML:
