I'm pretty sure this won't be a problem (though the laws of physics get wierder with every physics class), but has anyone ever sat a Hydor L30 on it's side?

I'm getting ready to do a big revision on my WC setup and I was going to take the 3.5" rack out of my Lian-Li PC-6083 and mount my L30 upside-down from the bottom of the 5.25" bays. Unfortunately it won't fit there with the dual 80mm radiator underneath. :( I think it might fit in sideways in the same spot. Any ideas? (I refuse to go to an external box. :p )

The only way I'm seeing to set it up right is either to use a 90 degree barb *cringe*. Or try to cut a new hole into the top tank on my rad and solder a custom barb in. I don't think I have the 1337 skillz to do that though.

at home depot i found some 'orbit' 90* pump barbs that fit perfectly on the L30. You might have to sand alittle off the end that screws into the pump so when its tight its in the right spot.

I did it, put some teflon tape on it and it was perfect, then realized i didnt need to use it. haha.

I'm thinking about attaching a new barb to a tank on my rad that I can screw directly into my pump. Could this cause any flow restrictions?
