sidewinder 2 joystick not working

ahhhh. the joystick works on another machine but not on my gaming one.

I does not get recognissed when plugged into the computer. I think because the

Human Interface Device Access

Service is not running? when I try starting it it says that the specific module could not be found?

any ideals

Do you have any other controllers plugged in through another USB on your computer?

From my experience XP doesn't like more than one controller to be active. I always have to switch between my logitech controller and my force feedback.

reinstalled windows still doesnt work. no other controls.

logitech joystick works. the sidewinder works too on my laptop.

ahhh

:mad: found loads of people saying it doesnt work with USB but i did not find 1 way of fixing it. even the MS help site for it doesnt contain anything

it works. somehow static build up in the joystick!??????????

u need switch of the pc unplug it plug it into another usb port (do it about 20 times)
switch on pc again (sometimes with joystick in usb sometimes after windows has loaded) and with some luck it works
like mine. now this is a piece of junk hardware
