still not bad for 512mb of pc3200. 66 bucks is about as cheap as i've seen for ANY 512mb sticks, save pc2100...

True, you could get a gig and multitask to your heart's content.

All depends what you want it for I suppose.

Yes, the price is a large draw to me. I really dont plan on running it much over 200mhz if not just leaving it at 200mhz fsb. I figure 1 gig of ram that is fairly fast vs 512mb of really fast ram will suit me better. Also, dual channel operation shouldnt be a problem if timings are not overly agressive?

you are right. your system will be alot better with 1gb of medium speed ram than with 512mb of fast ram. i can speak from experience :)

dual channel.. i'd probly stick with the timings its rated at. otherwise you might run into problems. but if you have time to kill.. why not give them a run. we are overclockers ya know :D

Hey, do ya think this would run Cas 2 at PC2700?

If it can I'm going for it - I mean I figure if it could do probably 3 at 3200 or so, 2 at 2700 should be cake, no?

-Jeff

Wow , not a bad price at all specially it can run at its rated speed . Sure makes for a cheap 1gig in dual channel . Too bad I no longer have my game server I'd be all over this deal .

Maybe, it will definately do 2.5, but im not sure about 2, it is worth a try though, and not really a loss if it doesnt do 2.

I had a problem (my fault) with some simpletech ram and called thier customer support and got great service. When I called I got a live person within a couple on min and the guy was polite as well as informative. I've been using this ram in one of my folders for about a yr now and it works fine. Only ran it stock so I can't help with OC questions just wanted to add about the C.S.

So, nobody knows wether it will run dual channel ok? I figure it should not have a problem atleast if I dont crank timings too agressive. I will be ordering some of these sticks here shortly unless sombody finds a reason to avoid them like the plauge ;)

I just got my ram, it has a really large VT on the left side of the chip

VT V3225804t-5

2A 0353

Does anybody know what kind of chips these are and how they perform? I havnt even installed them yet...but beleive me, I will very soon. Its just too late at night lol I have to get up in the morning otherwise...there would be no question that staying up late wouldnt be a problem at all. Hopefully somebody knows what kind of chips these are.
