i was wondering if anyone has any experiences with SIS video cards. i don't play very high resolution games and use the computer for desktop publishing; photoshop and illustrator. are these card any good--they seem to be very inexpensive.

My dad has onboard SiS 6326 AGP 8MB 3d card. It seems to work well - they are cheap but decent. Paintshop Pro 5 runs fine on the card.

You should be fine with an SiS card for light gaming and DTP.

They get the job done...if you do any gaming at all then get the SiS315...it's pretty cheap, but a bit slower than a GF2MX200.

The 315 I've heard also has good video quality, I think it uses a 375mhz RAMDAC which should give some decent 2d quality.

ATI's Xpert2000 isn't bad for 2d stuff, I use those alot at work and think they have great desktop image quality.

I've got an old SiS305 at home which I gave to my parents, it's not a great gaming card but it gets the job done on the desktop.

The ECS SiS315 even has TV out for like 35 bucks, its not a bad deal...
