I am using the 60mm delta 7k rpm fan on my Sk6. At first it didnt bother me but now its starting to get anoyying. I want to attach a 80mm to 60mm adapter and get a fan that is quieter and pushes more air.

Now im sure this question has been asked before. How do I attach the adapter to my sk6 because the sk6 uses clips and not screws. So how do i attach it to the heatsink. I want to stay away from just taping it on. Anyone know how I could do this?

Thanks

You do not need an adapter to run an 80mm fan on an SK6! Just take the 80mm fan and rotate it 45 degress and put the clips over the corners of the fan, voila! I recommend using at least a 50 cfm fan though, the SK6 is designed to be used with a hipo 60mm fan, they have more "focus" than an 80mm so you will need more cfm's with the 80mm. Also the 45CFM delta would work great due to the focusing vanes on the fan.

I went from the 80mm right on the SK6 to a 80-60mm converter. The converter works much better. About 4-6 degrees cooler. Now if my new 50cfm 80mm would get here.
