First off, this is my first post on OC forums, and so far there is a metric S*&# ton of information on this forum!

However in my search I couldn't find any information for my problem here. I was trying to figure out why after I had to format my hard drive and flash my bios and all this other happy stuff, that my graphics were lagging somthing fierce... so of course with my infinite wisdom I checked every driver I have and they are all updated, and it still wasn't as it used to be. Then as I restarted it hit me to check the bios and the settings had the graphics card set to 64Mb.

I was kinda confused by this since I have a 256Mb GPU. So I set it to 256 MB and save settings restarted and it said, OVERCLOCKING FAILED!!!, enter setup and fix it. So I set it to 128MB to test it out and it works, I havn't checked it out yet, the computer seems to be running just fine, but I thought I would throw this up here to see if anyone has had this issue before or if my newbness can be explained why it won't let me check 256.

Thank you for your help,

Xionen Rilske

If you made sure that the frequency or latency wasn't changed, then the short answer: Buggy motherboard!

I never had that problem with Asus motherboards. That would be one strange bug!
