ok i was wondering which should i get?

are the temps very diff?
and yea thats really all im worried about

and im getting a nf7-s v2.0

no, the temps arent different, its just the mounting device it uses.
The A uses the 3(6) socket lugs and the U uses the for holes and a backplate.
The U version was only made so that P4 uses could use it safely.
The SLK800U Fits on the NF7S V2.0 no problems also.(only the v2.0 though, 1.2 need customising)

either one, they both work as you can see what cheesy peas says. Just then the slk800 A because its for amd but either one works if you got the ABIT NF7S v2.0.

SOO hard!! can't decide, im not decisive

i have no decision making skills

!!

Get the U

Get the U version since it works for your socket and Socket 478, it's more flexible. You or someone you know may have a use for the P4 functionality someday.

get the SLK800U fits tighter than the SLK800A...sometime the SLK800A gets loose fittings on my mobo..so it restarts it self sometimes so I suggest get the SLK800U.....

I would suggest the 800U because it is mounted on your motherboard more securely.

I am looking at the same decision, U or A, to upgrade from my merely adequate Volcano 9. My only concern is even thought the A7N8X has the mounting holes, will the SLK800(U) actually fit on this board? I know the SLK900 will not. Anyone know if the U-version will fit on it?

The SLK-800 is significantly smaller than the SLK-900 so I'd have to say most likely. The only HS that really has problems fitting on motherboards is the SLK-900.
