My friends and I just put together my brand new computer. It is:

P4 3.0C 512 cache
Asus P4P800-E Deluxe
512mb Ocz dual channel DDR pc3200
Radeon 9600pro
80 WD 8m cache

The problem is that it takes forever to boot. Once it gets to the windows logo page with the bar theres no problems, but it takes almost 1.5 mins to get there. I don't understand why. Any help would be appriecated.

it looks like your bios settings are wrong. Or maybe you installed something wrong in your case and the bios is having a hard time reading it.

If you are running WinXP, goto Microsoft's site and search for BootVis.exe.
Install and follow the dir's. It will tell you exacty what and how long programs. drivers and services take to load during startup.

A short list to check

Also google is your friend. ;)

Good Luck.

Edit: On further investigation bootvis is no longer available at MS. Just google it and you should find some download locations.
