This looks like a pretty good board. The little I have read about it makes me wonder. If you have one let me know how you like it.

I know how you feel. I am putting together my first system and thought that I had narrowed it down to the Asus A7V133 but then I started reading the reviews on this board and am second guessing myself.

I also am not to familiar as to the support on the IWILL. Do they provide frequent updates or support for their products? Maybe that will make the decision a little easier to make.

I can't address the support issue. I did read all that I could find on the forum main page about this board. It is getting high reviews there in comparison to the Abit and Asus boards with the same chipset.

Yea, I'm trying to decide between the iWill KK266-raid and Abit kt7a-raid too. My friend bought the kt7a-raid two weeks ago and just now finally got everthing working properly. He said that he had problems left and right, esp in win2k. He's now running winme.
There arent many reviews for the iWill, but the ones I've found say that its much more stable then the Abit. If anybody owns this board could give some info. = ).

Any one who has the board, and especially those who are using win2k. The sole purpose for buying the new computer now is to be able to run Win2k products including at some point 2k server. I'm doing my MCSE and need a stable environement more than I need OCing. I would like to be able to do both but one is more important than the other.

I'm really surprised more ppl are not familiar with this Mobo. If you read the review the OC main page you might begin to question the current KT7A craze like I am. Come on guys... break out with the opinions. I know you all have one as this is an opinionated group!!!

I wouldn't like to praise one and slam the other as I've never tried either - but Joe is clearly impressed by the Iwill and Azz loves the KT7a - so I guess they're both great :)

*sigh*
I was set on the Abit KT7a - Raid..then i saw this post and decided to check out the iwill, well I am back to square 1 on decideding again

I am using one now with AMD 1.2 cpu and running fine, first time boot up w/ no problems.
I see they have a overclocking bios now available, w/ GOOD results. I switch m/b's several times a year, this is the best so far.

I can't speak for the iWill board. I will say that after my experiences with Abit boards, especially the original KT7, I would have a hard time recommending them to anyone...

I do have an A7v133 board, however, and it runs great! I have it running now at 149 MHz FSB (memory unstable any higher), with no problems at all. I would still say, however, that it is not worth the upgrade from a normal KT133 board, especially not if you have to foot the entire bill. If you resell your old board in order to pay off most of the new one, like I did, then it might be worth it.

Of course, you can see I am a fan of Asus boards. I've never had any trouble with them. They are stable, reliable, and Asus has good tech support in case anything goes wrong (or the board breaks), so I stick with what works.

i'm leaning towards the iwill myself. i think that everyone here (2-3+ people?) who is trying to decide between them and abit or asus, we should all just get the iwill so we don't have to wait for any people's opinions and stuff too much longer... lol

how about it?

Well I don't know what to tell you. What I can say is that I just ordered the KK266 and hope to have it by early next week (from Advanced Design KY ) I have not read any negitive feed back only good. But like so many have said befor the decision is yours.
I will post though when I get mine up and running to tell you all what I think.
by the way I was in the same boat as you I was dead set to get the ABIT board and ended up with the IWILL, Someone has to be a leader!!!

heck ya!! that's what i'm talking about! forget about being like everybody else... and let's just do it!

i will order one. it will cost $135 plus shipping. how much did yours cost?

I got mine @ Advanced Design of KY I paid 136+ S&H here is a link
Every one here was very helpfull and I'm sure to be a long time cosumer

I went with the Iwill... I heard too much negative publicity on the Abit with Win2k and liked the layout and features of this board. I just ordered it and it should be here in a week. I'll let you all know how it turns out. Thanks for the input.

I am going with the IWILL, I am getting it with a 1.2 tbird. I am just going to take a chance and I trust ed and Joe's opinion. Plus I heard they o'c much more stably at higher fsb, much more than the abit.

I just got a kk266 , but its rev 1.1 and they are saying its got the autodetect prob the epox does?? anyone know about this?

I'm running win2k on my Abit KT7-RAID with no problems. Duron 650@1ghz. ONly problem was I had to reinstall win2k after replacing my mb, ram, and cpu when I swapped in the new stuff.

So did anyone get the iWill 266 boards yet? I have been thinking really hard about getting one, considering im running on this Shuttle AK12 POS that dosn't allow any over clocking except for the front side bus, which sucks cause I can only get up to 950 or so on a 900 tbird.
