So, who's getting a 5XXX series card?

Having some fun with a spreadsheet and the recent leak of 5050, 5060, 5060 Ti specs. Link above doesn't cover the 5060 (yet?) as it was posted by the same leaker at a later time than the other two. I'm looking at it from a memory bandwidth perspective as the main sanity check, not looked at it gen on gen for now.

Before I go further to the unknown, I'll recap the known models and their bandwidth ratios (GB/s per FP32 TFLOPS):
5090: 17.1
5080: 17.0
5070 Ti: 20.4
5070: 21.8
This is a similar pattern we saw with the 40 series, where lower models tend towards a higher ratio than the higher models.

Core clocks are unknown but I'm assuming a specified turbo clock of 2600 which ball park matches the highest known 50 series, the 5080. All are claimed to be 128-bit, so VRAM capacities will be multiples of 8 unless they decide to use 3GB chips. Actual running clocks may go higher. Leak claims GDDR7 on 5060/Ti, GDDR6 on 5050. I'm assuming further they're 28 and 21 Gbps respectively.
5060 Ti 18.7
5060 22.4 (16.8 if 21 Gbps)
5050 25.2

Makes sense for the 5050 to drop back a gen, even that means it would have more bandwidth than all other models. 5060 was a bit borderline. It'll probably be ok with GDDR6 too, but GDDR7 will still help.

I put in a backorder with CDW. I'll see if I get one this year :ROFLMAO:

My MC is always stacked with scalpers so there is very little chance I'll get one without paying an inflated price at this point.

5060 family expected to be announced tomorrow, (un)available in April.

Heh...... maybe they learned from AMD and will have some stock for a couple of days at reasonable prices........

..........ok, I'm a dreamer.... still sticking with much better availability by end of Q2, lol.

5070 is in the area n scheduled for delivery today ...
I'll be looking too upgrade within the next month .

Mentioned trading with cash offset in any of yas are interested

Should I pull the trigger on the waterblock now or wait until its shipped? :)

I would check if everything works fine, so you won't stay with a $300 block if for some reason the card will be faulty (hopefully not) and you get a money back or switch to a different model. I guess you can wait 2-3 weeks more before ordering the block.
... and count ROPs

The Gaming Trio was on my list of what I wanted.

The PSU is something I could use, but I would want something different. How I see it, I'll use the PSU + GPU. If I have a power issue I can just blame MSI since I got both in the same bundle, directly from them. I think this is a warranty win at the cost of a overpriced PSU.
