I have an MX700 Keyboard and mouse, however my keyboard had Bawls spilled all over it a while back and all the media keys dont work, and I am very intrigued by this G15. If I upgrade my keyboard, I will do the mouse also because I sort of want either the G7 or G5. NOW for all you converters, is it hell going from wireless to wired or not?

No, it makes no difference to me at all. I went from a wireless logitech keyboard to a wired G15 and I have no regrets. The G15 is just plain cool as hell with the LCD and the blue backlight. It comes with a clock, cpu/ram monitor, and media display (compatible with winamp, WMP, and others), and you can also download LCDHype and use other plugins - I also run a network utilization display.

I say go for the G15, I have not regretted it.

I am not worried at all about the G15, its the G5 that Im skeptical about. Keyboard will make no difference, I dont ever move it really anyway.

lol, my bad. I never really use my mouse anywhere but where it is... But I used to sit back a ways and use the media controls on my keyboard, so thats teh first thing I thought of. ;)

I could never go back to wired, but I have a tendency to move both the keyboard and mouse to different locations, or mouse and type on my lap. I think that it all depends on your useage habits. Also, wireless is nice for small desks, as you can move them away to get space to write or whatever.

I too gave up wireless for a G15 and don't miss it. The only thing that bothered me was the cable going across my desk but I drilled a hole for it and ran it under it.

I played with a wireless mouse but hated it, i found that the batteries made it far too clunky, and playing at a lan and having them start to die is too much hassle.

i use to have the logitech bluetooth set. then i bought the G5 when it came out AND I LOVE IT!!! its the most amazing mouse i have ever seen; comfortable, quick, precise....everything

For the keyboard, i was going to get the G15, but i have a matrix orbital screen and a PSOne lcd, so they display more then enough system info to me, so i went with the Saitek Eclipse keyboard and love it.

I never move my comp, so whats a few wires? especially with a keyboard (i NEVER really move it unless im cleaning)

i have gotten used to the weight of a wireless with teh batteries. i find wired vermitts very light and awkward to use. i guess if you have tha tproblem you can open it up and epoxy some sinkers inside it or something. for the keyboard...if your isng it as an excuse to get the g15 then go for it...if you still like your old one, open it up and take out the circuit board(s), and throw the plastic button panel things in teh dishwasher (not on dry cycle...just regular wash). it works like a charm
