I was wondering if this would work I have 2 Geforce 2 MX. One is dead which has the Tv-out and S-video that I need. The other Geforce MX works but only has D-Sub. Are you with me on what I am trying to do. The Geforce that works have soldering points on it for S-video and Tv-out

I am no engineer hence the reason asking. Would this work?

If the other card has all the same chips (dosen't look like it), then it may work. Though I'd only do it if you don't really care about your card, and consider yourself to be fairly adept with a soldering iron.

and that is if the chips will support those items once you put them in - would they not have had to been programmed into the chipset before they would work?

I seriously doubt it...if the card were made for the s-video out, it would have come with it, its not one of those thing where u can enable it, like 4 -pipes in a soft-mod or something, you most likely wont be able to solder it on and get it to work

^^ thought so

i once had a walkman that had an AC power adapter in it so u can plug it in, when that walkman broke i bought a new one that did not have the adapter so i solder in the one from my old one and that worked, but for something like this there is more to it.
