some boards unlocking new procs by themselfs?

i heard somting about certain boards allowing newer cprocs to be unlocked /w no mods to the chips... which boards are these if it is true?

As far as I know most of the new KT400 boards.

It's true, but only for the recent Tbred cpus and KT400 chipsets

I believe it is all the KT400s, but you might want to get a second opinion on it.

I've read that nforce2 is *supposed* to support this, too. Don't have hard facts on that though.

All Tbreds should work with it, A or B

All Tbreds but it will not unlock all multis you have to connect the 5th l3 bridge to get lower multis (for high FSBs) but you can get high multis, and yes the nforce2 should also allow this but again im not sure about all multis

Doesn't it depend on the board though? Cause I know some people with a KT400 board can have all the multipliers without unlocking, 5 - 12.5 on the Tbreds

Tipycol thats proabably true i haven't looked up on kt400s in a while, im not to bothered due to the release of the nforrce2 (still waiting for epox)
