All right,
I have a T-Bird 1.2 running at 1.33(10x133). It has been running fine for about a week. It locked up once last week during boot up, but I restarted it and it was totally fine. BTW My CoreV=1.8V and my I/O V=3.5V. Last night, it locked up again. I had to go into safe mode, didn't find anything. Tried to restart, wouldn't go. I waited a little while and tried again like three more times, no good. So, I went to sleep. This morning I gave it a try, worked just fine! WTF? Is it PMS? One of my buddies has some ACPI problems with his KT7A, could it be that? I did notice, during boot up that NIC is IRQ 11 and ACPI is IRQ 11, just letting you know. Maybe Voltages? My full load temp. under 3 hours of UT is 54, so I don't think it's temp. related. PLZ help so I can push her past 1.4!!! :)

wish i had your cpu!
it could be the voltage.there was a post that outlined the voltage for amd cpu's somewhere here.try backinng off 1 notch, mine is running at 1.75 according to via hwm.also my cpu will cause errors at 54c.have you tried the 133/33 setting?

lo mate,

when you say it did not go, if u mean the thing wouldnt boot i.e. wont post boot but works if u leave it a long time, it sounds very much like a problem with your PSU (even though it powers up), try using a mates to test this.

Ive seen this happen only once in a system i built for a customer but sounds like a similar prob, happend on a giga-byte Ga-6ve+ or something like that, I personally have a KT7A and have had no problems so far

(Note when i experienced this it the problem was persistent and was present regardless of cpu clock speed reductions, alternate mobos, and processors, if slowing your cpu down fixes this then it aint the same problem i had, check, i dont want to cause u unnesesary (or however u spell it) hassle!)

For an FSB of 133, you don't need that I/O voltage so high. 3.4 should suffice. Something may be overheating and cooled off during the night. Just a thought.

Hoot

Im actually begining to doubt this now, and begin living in fear and paranoia after reading another post near this one.

I have lock ups now and then too.. but i increased my cpu voltage to 1.85 and it was better.

1.1 amd tbird
kt7a mobo

I've lowered my I/O Voltage back down to 3.4V. So far I haven't had any more "incidents." I'll keep my fingers crossed. Thanks for the help guys!
