so I take it you have less than 128MB? 96? You really need to get some more, especially if you run Win2000 or XP.....will help your performance tremendously......besides, RAM is dirt cheap What kind of RAM are you using?
To answer your question: I don't think there's another way around your problem, sorry
1) Try using the original 3dmark2001.
2) Get more ram.
3) If you have enough ram, but it's giving you that message, try: reinstalling 3dmark, and/or moving your ram into a different dimm slot.
