Well basically I am gonna get RAM from OCZ off newegg. http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProdu...147&manufactory=1550&DEPA=1&sortby=14&order=1

I plan on purchasing 2 256mb's for an Nforce2 board, which i hope to run at at least 200 fsb. I was wondering how the pc3000 and pc3200 would peform compared to eachother. The pc3200 is bucks more and is 1t, unlike the pc3000 which is 2t. If I go with the pc3200, will I beable to OC higher than that pc3000? Im curiouse because I hardly see anyone with pc3000.
Thnx in advanced

3 things.

1) Newegg appears to be out of stock
2) OCZ will most likely not run at any higher than it's rated speed, so I'd probably choose the 3200
3) OCZ has a reputation that is not the best. I have always had good luck (at it's rated speed/specs), but many around here would NEVER purchase it.

what would be a better choice at a low price, i.e.-- not Corsair XMS. Is Geil anygood? I hear it is kinda scetchy

A source I trust said the Geil he picked up (newegg refurb no less) ran perfectly.

For $20 more on each stick ($40 total), you can get some XMS 3500 CL2... which will nearly guarentee you to run at 200 MHz FSB (if not higher, most reviews I've seen them going up to 22-230 MHz FSB )

I know you wanna skimp on this area... but if you are looking for the overclock, you probably wanna pitch in a little more.

word of advice, that Geil ram dosn't work on a certain EPoX mobo. the 8k7a, or something? whatever the KT333 epox board is.

and if you're looking for a good O/C, go all out on ram. like above, don't skimp! great ram makes a good o/c great, and increases stability overall.

i know, but there has to be something other than Corsair XMS
