I took a chance and you guys kinda shat on me for it lol.

I honestly don't care what the internet says, I take reviews with a grain of salt because I don't run anything at stock, and I am good at tuning.

When people throw numbers around from reviews, they literally mean nothing to me, other than baseline. But different reviewers have different numbers, so grain of salt.

And Youtoobers.. yeah.. nah.

I typed out a long post but I'm drained. Been sickergies for days and fit that grumpy moniker above at the moment (ok, in general, ha!). I'll just say that Neb means well but has seemingly, twice, missed the fact that you're using two sticks. I do wonder who is 'they', though (unless you are keen to echo chambers, lol). Feel free to post the link you ran across! We'd love to see what they're saying.

I emplore to read Janus' post again. And alhtough this build has been hard to follow, I hope you don't leave and share the build with all of us in your build thread. :)

I came back to try again and get along thanks to EarthDog.
to me its a matter of respect, I didnt come back here as i didnt know anything. Ive probably forgotten more than some folks even know. I just needed guidance to catch up on the new things thats happened in the industry the last 20 years. Everyone here is changed like ive said, Heck im older too but that doesn't make me a noob.
And non of this matters to me until i see my bios screen pop up hopefully tomorrow.

"They" are youtube creators and i gleen threw many tests before i see a pattern and then make a decision for myself. Once my Bios boots up ill put a sig up so i dont have to repeat myself accross the board. Its bad luck to post a sig for build you haven't booted into the bios. Here soon i wont need to learn from youtube ill run the test myself.

Ive said it several times i haven't changed much myself in the last 20 years so i buy and build what tickles my fancy. But i post about it for validation that i may be wrong or someone has a better idea, It doesnt make me wrong just for asking. After my finances changed i went from $1k budget build to unlimited Monster. Everything is over the top and nothing can be "Just ok" it needs to not have a bottleneck anywhere. I think i have achieved that. I didnt do it to show off money as i hardly have any, Nor bragging rights as im too old for that.

Ive also started many threads, that will stop and im going to just be a fly on the wall, Not because i want to but in order to get along i think its necessary. and no i dont have thick skin as im a nice person and like to treat others like that but most of all be treated back the same with respect. i learn fast and catch up quick and alot ive said i say from experience. And if im lacking in an area im not afraid to ask for help.

On a side note i wanted to have 128GB of ram, well thats not gonna happen. in order for that to work you have to to use 2 sticks as 4 most likely wont boot. But it has to be slow and most likely it will run ONLY at 3800mhz or what ever jedec is i forget. and with timing so loose a hooker would be proud.
No your best bet is a 6400mhz 2x48 96GB and with tight timings and with luck hit 7000mhz, If you cant tell tweaking and OC'ing ram was my favorite thing to do in the olden days. And yes ill put my money where my mouth is, If im wrong ill admit it.
You may be asking well why you need so much ram? For the same reason i need a 12 core processor and bottle rockets in my drives and a GPU that cost so much it comes with a spare tire.

I think ive rambled enough but i mean what i say. Thanks....

Have you looked at the QVL for your board, or are you just looking on forums?

My 2 pairs are not on this QVL, but I can run them at 5400 with super tight timings, I know EXPO 6000 is just bluescreams. But each pair on their own works fine at speed.

Even Wendall says 192GB might be viable on AM5.
