I turned on my comp this morning and it won't go....!
it was running fine last night and now i get some message saying:

"Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:

\windows\system32\config\system"

then it ay you can attempt to repair, by starting windows setup using original setup cd-rom... i'm just not sure how to do that... :(

i am using winxp pro....

heeeeeeeeeeeelpppppppp!!!!!!!!!

well basically boot using the winXP install cd or go to the setup, and when ur prompted to select the install type push R, i believe for repair, then it'll just reinstall the needed files... :burn:

are you overclocked? that is the best sign on an o/c'ed rig that you are either a) not stable, or b) you have data corruption due to a failing part (like the HDD, or RAM)...

if you are o/c'ed, you need to clock back down before repairing...
