hallo,
i been trying to think of a more compact evaportative cooler. i'd firstly like to know the temp of the outside surface of your rad in comparison with ambient temp...also, would someone, if you can do it safely (ie, run with the rad outside of your case) try getting your rad a little wet and see if your temps drop as the water evaporates off of the rad, this will only work well if the rad is a degree or two warmer than room temp and you'd need to have a good shroud, maybe turn it so the fans are above and the air is blowing down through the rad to prevent the moisture from getting into the fan motors.
i run a bong so i don't know much about rads yet, but i'm very curious about this. if you can find the time or are curious as well, let me know the result. if not..... well then have a laugh about it and check back later
