i AM HOPING TO STICK MY CELERON II 700 IN THERE AND HIT 950 + RIGHT NOW I GET 877 WITH MY ASUS P3V4X AND 83FSB. BECAUSE I HAVE THE NEW REVISION I CAN'T GTE 85, 90, 95FSB'S. WITH THIS I CAN GET 85, 90, 95 + ALOT MORE THAN THE P3V4X.

It's a great mobo. Very stable with mucho O/C features. I've had it for 10 months and it's the best one I've ever had. I'm running a PIII 700 @ 994 MHz on it rock stable. It works great with a slotket and SoftFSB. You can increase the core to whatever you want since it will increase the core up to 10% over what you set on the slotket. It'll take any Video card you have. I ran a power-hogging GeForce DDR in it for about 8 months before I upgraded to a GeForce2 GTS. Highly recommended.

Thanx alot but compusa wants 130 dollars for it, i am 15 and i live in the usa (new jersey) and i rarley get money, but i found this other mobo, for 100 sounds alot better with raid and it is a bx chipset, so no via memory lagg,

it is called the ........ SOYO SY-6BA+100 for 120 dollars on pcnut and 100 on pricewatch. Is this one good to or should i stick with the sy6ba+4 ???

The +100 is to the +IV, what the BE6 II is to the BE6.

Take a +IV and add ATA100, and more BIOS adjustability.

If you can get the +100 cheaper than the +IV, you'd be silly not to. Next step in the evolution.

The +100 is a +IV with the ATA100 IDE RAID controller. It's a great board, go for it.

in about a week and a half or so i will get it, but does anyone know how to turn on raid in windows 2000? I don't have a raid card or ata100 but i heard that win2000 has it. You don't need the raid card. That would be great, i have to 10gb hard drives from western digital that would be perfect. And one more thing, Does anyone know if i put 2 network cards in one computer, will it make my network faster? I tried it and i had no idea what to do. Can someone please help me on that thanx!! O yea guyz, i am setting up 2 servers : 1 for quake3arena, and 1 for counterstrike, both pentium 166's @ 180 with 48mb of ram and 2 3 gb hard drives. Right now on 1 of them i have setup, i ping @ 35 in quake3 with 4 bots. That is with my 10mbits per second network of course. The server end is a little slow, and i need to speed that up, it uploads to my computer faster than it can download what my computer can send it. THANX GUYZ I WILL KEEP YOU POSTED ON THE SERVERS. i am using them for a lan party i am having tomorrow.

Windows 2000 does support software RAID but it's not quite as fast as the hardware version. The problem you will have is that you will have to do some fancy partitioning, since you can't have 2000 boot from a software RAID partition, because it doesn't exist until after 2000 is running... If you can find a cheap 1-2GB drive and use it for a boot disk to hold 2000 then you could use full capacity on your RAID array.

Thanx tim!!! I have a old 3 gb hard drive i am not using, how would i set it up to run raid? If you don't mind, you can just say it here, or jut right me an email with instructions. my email is [email protected] THANX AGAIN!!! Will this be faster? I asked this guy at a computer shop next to my house and he said performance isn't much better. THANX
