I'm modding a heatsink for my Asus A7V133, and I was wondering if anyone knew where I can get the footprint for the mounting holes that are around the socket.

I know that I could just pull the board and make a paper template, but I want to get as close a fit as possible

While I'm at it, what is the ideal thickness of the sheet stock that I should use (any urls that I could look at?) I have some 1/8" aluminum, but I can probably get my hands on some copper plate if I need to (I have a sheet of .025" copper, but it is way flexy)

I think you can find most info in there, if not all the info (page 19 for the holes and keepout area)

If I find a URL bout that I'll let you know. But IMHO I think it also depends on what you wanna do, you probably can use the sheet of .025" copper with the 1/8" aluminum and glue them on top of each other, cut it the right size Drill the holes and lap it (The copper absorbs heat better and the aluminum dissipates heat better).

Good Luck \:)

Thanks for the direction.

So I can just glue the copper to the aluminum?
