Since the nVidia 8800GTX and 8800GT are out now, I wonder how long it will be untill nVidia or some manufacturer puts out a video card for laptops that is directX10 capable.

I am waiting till a laptop is available at a reasonable ($2000 - $3000) price with at least a Merom cpu and a directX10 video card before I buy a new laptop.

a few months. usually they will sell currently distributed hips before throwing new ones in when it comes to laptops.

This excludes the mobile 9700pro. Christ how long was that thing produced for lappys ?

It should come when the new die shrinks are out for the next gen video cards. Heck, probably before that with lappies meant for autocad and stuff, as well as ones that are meant as desktop replacements.

I heard that nVidia was due to release their cards on February. Might have changed...

I just hope they won't be the power-hogs they are rumored to be...
