I was wondering what all the spread spectrum settings are in BIOS for differnt things such as "CPU Spread Spectrum" "HT Spread Spectrum" etc. Should I turn them off when OC'n?? maybe this is the reason I hit a wall around 2.77Ghz?? Could it help my load temps?? I dont know, but I would appreciate some input.

Thanks. :)

Hmmm, dunno about the "spread spectrum" in AM2 board, but I disabled it in my intel rigs. Gave me more stability when disabled.

Is there any more testimants to this?? lol, no offense terran, I just wanna be safe.

As soon as I OC my FSB, my Mobo automatically grays the SS settings out, so I would say that is akin to the manufacturer of my board suggesting it's better turned off when OCing.

Ok, i just went to my BIOS real quick, and I dont even see any spread spectum settings anywhere. I was reading an article on another site when spread spectrum came up and they said to turn it off when OC'n so I just assumed I had it as well and posted a topic about it. And I thought I remembered seeing the settings in my BIOS before. It might of been my last CPU. Hmmm.
